Vimbai Jaricha is a passionate crochet artist whose journey began at the tender age of seven, watching her mother knit and crochet. What started as childhood curiosity grew into a lifelong love for yarn, texture and handmade artistry.
She later pursued her passion academically, earning a BEng (Hons) Degree in Textile Technology from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). With a strong technical foundation, Vimbai worked in textile manufacturing as a Production Manager, gaining valuable industry experience in quality control, efficiency and fabric innovation.
After the heartbreaking loss of her father and her job just a month later, Vimbai returned to crochet as a form of therapy. The hook and yarn became tools of healing. What began as a way to cope soon evolved into a business, as friends and family began purchasing her handcrafted pieces.
Today, Vimbai creates value added crochet products distinguished by skilled handcrafting, modern design innovation and high quality finishing. She transforms yarn into fashionable apparel, durable bags and accessories. Through custom made designs tailored to individual preferences, she ensures customers receive premium handmade products rather than mass produced alternatives.

Beyond business, Vimbai is committed to social impact. As a member of Caring Crafters, she works alongside a team of women supporting vulnerable communities. Together, they provide handmade warm clothing and blankets to orphans and the elderly. She also conducts informal training sessions covering crochet techniques and basic business skills, empowering women to start income generating projects from home.
